Look who was spotted at McMasters on the 100th day of School!!!  Clifford stopped by to see if we were ready for the book fair...he will be back next week...who knows where he will show up!! Pictured below is Mrs. DelaRosa(left) and Miss Holland (right) with Clifford the Big Red Dog, sponsored by Scholastic Book Fairs.

Arrival time is 7:35am with the tardy bell at 7:45am.  

Doors open to students at 7:10am.  Dismissal is at 3:05pm.

Book Fair Logo

Spring Book Fair is coming.  Parent Volunteers will be helping to set up on Friday, 2/23 and classes will come on Monday, 2/26 for Wish List Preview.  Sales will start on Tuesday, February 27th.  Students may shop before school starting at 7:15 with parents only. Once the morning announcements are over, students may come on their own with their teacher's permission.  The Book Fair will stay open on Tuesday late to accomodate our ACE students and parents who wish to shop that evening.  Wednesday & Thursday the Book Fair will close at 3:30pm.  Friday we will close at 1pm to allow for packing the Book Fair up for shipment back to Scholastic.  If you are unable to attend in person, the Book Fair Online starts on the 19th and will go thru March 6th.  See the link below.

We will also be celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday, which is 3/2, all week.  See the attached letter that went home to know what to wear or bring!

At the Big Shoot Out District Competition this week, our very own Madison Calderon came in 3rd place for 4th Grade Girls.  Way To Go Madison!!!  
Also participating were:  Adrian Chapa, 3rd Grade Boys and Megan Jaramillo, 3rd Grade Girls, and Andrew Moreno, 4th Grade Boys.  This was Andrew's second year to go to the District Competition.

Here are the Science Fair Winners.  We go to District Science Fair on March 20 at Phillips Gym.   Parents and students are invited to walk and take a look at all the projects that participated in the District fair from 5:30-6:00pm, (March 20 in Phillips Gym), then we will have the Awards Ceremony from 6-7pm.  Everyone is invited.

Thanks to Mrs. Lawrence, one of our music teacher, for coordinating all that it takes for our school science fair.  Congratulations to all the students who participated and thank you to all the staff who helped with judging.  


Here is a great opportunity to promote family fitness and support a good cause.
We hope to see lots of our students participating.
This would also count for miles towards Get Fit Jog!

Congratulations to Mia Rodriguez, the winner of our McMasters Spelling Bee.  She will represent our school at the District Elementary Spelling Bee on February 20th at South Houston High School.  Congratulations also to Hayden Canterbury who is our Runner-Up and will be our representative in case Mia cannot participate.  Way To Go!!!!!

If your child is interested in our after-school program, ACE, you need to contact Mr. Johnny Fusilier.  Only students who have completed the registration packets may attend.   Let me know if you have any questions.

Parents: Please remember you must send a note when your child is absent.  If we do not receive a note within 2 days, the absence will be marked unexcused.

For our Students' safety please do not drop off students in the parking lot.  All students must be walked across traffic lanes by an adult.  Safety first!  

Parent are not allowed to walk up on the front porch during dismissal to pickup students.  You must stay in  your car.  If  you want to walk up, you may inform your child's teacher to send them out by the library or Kindergarten doors.  

Starting September 1st all visitors will be required to come into the office with a Valid ID to receive a badge before entering the building and you must return the badge to office staff on your way out.
